Day 11 of camp · teaches Prompting APIs

You're the waiter; the kitchen is the AI. Send requests, read real responses.

Buzzy's AI Diner 🍽️

You're the waiter — the kitchen is the AI API. You NEVER go inside: you send order tickets (requests) through the hatch, and dishes (responses) come back out. Fill the ticket right and everyone eats!

### The kitchen is the API. You're the waiter.

You **never** go inside the kitchen — you send an **order ticket** (the **request**) through the hatch, and a **dish** (the **response**) comes back. Your ticket needs a **model** (which chef), **messages** (house rules + the customer's wish), a **temperature** (how much the chef improvises), and your **API-key stamp** (so the kitchen knows it's you).

**Shift 1:** take real orders · **Shift 2:** the temperature dial · **Shift 3:** decode kitchen errors

▶ Clock in for Shift 1

This is one game from one day. In camp, a live teacher builds on it, your child plays it, then **writes it in real Python**.
