🧰 The AI Toolbox · offering 1Ages 8–13, with a parentSession 1 free — no login

Screen time that brings you closer.

15 sessions you do together — one grown-up, one child, one screen. About 45 minutes each, twice a week. You build real things side by side, and at the end you have a scrapbook of everything the two of you made.

It runs on a free Claude account. There is no software to install, nothing to code, and nothing for your child to sign up for.

Two people, one screen
The grown-up is a participant, not a supervisor.

A free Claude account is enough for all 15 sessions.
A Family Memory Box
Every session saves one favourite. Session 15 binds them.

Don't just monitor your child's AI use.
Master it together.

Most advice to parents about AI is a list of things to forbid. This camp is the other approach: you learn the tool at the same time your child does, on the same screen, so the household rules come from two people who both know how it actually behaves.

It also means you are never the person who has to pretend to understand. Session 5 is about the AI confidently making things up, and you find that out by catching it doing it.

Pick your framing

One camp, two ways to sit down.

A 9-year-old and a 14-year-old do not want the same grown-up in the room. The sessions are the same; the role you take is not. Pick the one that sounds like your house.

Ages 8–12

You are the co-pilot

You are learning this too, out loud, and you say so. You take the keyboard for about half the prompts. When Claude gets something wrong, you both notice it at the same second — and that shared surprise is most of the lesson.

  • You type, they type, you swap — the prompt cards say who
  • You are allowed to not know the answer
  • Best when the child still likes doing things with you
Ages 13+

You are the sponsor

The account is yours, the driving is theirs. You show up for the bits that need two people — the debates, the demo, the session where they teach you — and otherwise you let a teenager be competent in front of you.

  • They drive; you own the account and the ground rules
  • Session 8 flips it: they teach, you take notes
  • Best when "let's do a course together" would be a hard no
  • We write for 8–13, but this framing holds up with an older teenager too
Read this before you buy

Whose account this runs on.

The parent's account. Always.

Claude.ai is built for grown-ups — the terms put it at 18+. So the whole camp happens on your account, with you in the room. Your child never signs in anywhere, and there is nothing for them to log into. That is not a caution we bolted on; it is why the course is designed for two people in the first place.

No subscription, anywhere.

A free Claude account is enough for all 15 sessions. The free plan does have a message limit that resets after a few hours, so every session is built to fit inside it — never more than 7 prompts.

And if you hit the wall anyway — it happens, especially on a busy evening — every session carries a written fallback so the two of you can finish it away from the screen instead of stopping.

What you need before session 1

  • A free Claude account in a grown-up's name (claude.ai — adults only, 18+)
  • Any laptop or tablet with a browser. Nothing to install
  • 45 minutes, and a chair each
  • No coding. No Python. Nobody types a line of code in this camp
45 minutes

What one session actually looks like.

1 · The hook

Misha, Buzzy and Mithu open the idea in a page a child will actually read. Session 1 lands the mental model the rest of the camp stands on: Buzzy is the app, Mithu is the model inside it.

2 · The prompt cards

A handful of copy-to-clipboard prompts. Each one names who types it — child, grown-up, or the two of you arguing over one keyboard — and what to look for in the answer.

3 · The bonding moment

The designed bit. A vote before you press enter, a prompt duel, a role swap, a keepsake about this family. Not 'sit together' — an actual thing you do to each other.

4 · The Memory Box

You pick one thing from today worth keeping and save it. Fifteen sessions later, session 15 turns the box into a scrapbook you can hand to someone.

There is a grown-up corner in every session — five minutes written for you, in adult language, plus a family mission to try during the week. It is the part that keeps you a participant instead of a chaperone.

The whole thing, nothing hidden

All 15 sessions.

Session 1 is free and needs no login — do it tonight and decide afterwards. Every other session opens to an honest preview: the title, the goal, what you will do and what you will learn, so you know exactly what you would be buying.

What we do and do not promise

The honest bit.

Help when you are stuck, and office hours

Help with the course comes over WhatsApp whenever the two of you are stuck — send the prompt, what came back and where it went wrong — plus office hours when we run them, announced on WhatsApp, for the questions that are easier to talk through than to type.

Before either of those, though: every session carries its own "if this goes wrong" notes, written for the two or three things that actually go wrong in that session. Most sticking points are answered on the page you are already looking at.

That is the whole of it. This camp does not come with class times, and we are not going to put a self-paced family on a teacher's timetable and hope it works out. If you want live teaching, that is what the 1:1 classes are.

Things we are not claiming

  • An independent course. CodersBee wrote it; we are not affiliated with Anthropic, and nothing here is endorsed by them. Claude is their product — we just teach it well
  • No certificate, no grades, no leaderboard. The output is a scrapbook
  • We are not promising this changes anything about your family. It gives the two of you 45 good minutes, twice a week, and something to keep
  • Your child gets no account, and we collect nothing from them
Asked before every camp

The questions parents send first.

If yours is not here, ask it on WhatsApp before you pay rather than after — we would rather talk you out of this than sell you a camp that does not fit your house.

Whose Claude account does this run on?

The grown-up's. Claude.ai is an 18-plus service, so there is no child account anywhere in this camp — you sign in on your own account, put two chairs at one screen, and hand the keyboard over when it is the child's turn. That constraint is also the design: every session is written for two people looking at one answer.

Does anything else cost money?

Not for the Claude PlayCamp. It is built to run on a free Claude account, and the whole camp is designed around that plan's limits instead of pretending they are not there. The Claude Code PlayCamp is the one with something extra: it needs Claude Pro, about $20/month, which you buy directly from Anthropic and keep in your own name. Both camps are included at no extra cost if your child already takes 1:1 classes with us.

What age is this for?

The Claude PlayCamp is written for ages 8 to 13 with a parent alongside; the Claude Code PlayCamp is for 11 and up, with the grown-up playing client. A younger child copes fine if you read the longer stretches aloud. An older teenager is not being sold a toddler's course either — the grown-up's role shifts from co-pilot to sponsor, and the ideas stay the same.

What happens if we hit the free plan's message limit?

You finish the session anyway. Each one names the two or three prompt cards that carry the lesson, so you spend your messages there first, and each one has a paper version of its best moment — the game, the vote, the duel — that needs no Claude at all. When the window opens again, paste in what you wrote down and carry on where you stopped.

How long does the whole camp take?

Fifteen sessions of about 45 minutes each. Twice a week is the pace it was written for, which puts you at the last session in roughly two months. Once a week works just as well and simply takes twice as long — nothing in the camp assumes you are keeping up with anyone else.

What if we fall behind?

There is nothing to fall behind. No cohort, no start date, no live class to miss — the camp is yours once you have it, and it waits. If school exams take over for a month, park it and come back; the sessions build on each other in order, so you pick up at the one you stopped at rather than starting again.

Can my child do this alone?

No, and we would rather say that before you pay than after. The account belongs to the grown-up, and the parts that do the real work — the prompt duels, the predict-then-run moments, the five minutes written for the adult — need a second person in the chair. If the two of you cannot find 45 minutes twice a week, tell us on WhatsApp and we will point you at something that fits better.

What if this turns out not to be for us?

Session 1 is free, needs no login, and is a whole session rather than a sample — it exists so you can find that out on a Tuesday evening instead of after paying. This suits a child who likes a grown-up beside them, and a grown-up who will genuinely sit down for the 45 minutes; a child who would rather go off and build alone will find the pace slow, and there is no version of it that runs without an adult in the room, because the account is yours. If you have already started and it is not working in your house, say so on WhatsApp — we would rather hear it than have you quietly stop.

What do we actually get when we enrol?

All fifteen sessions, at your own pace, and everything the two of you make along the way — the Memory Box saves, and the scrapbook the last session ends with. How you get them is deliberately low-tech: there is no checkout on this site and no login to give you, so enrolling is a WhatsApp conversation with Manisha, and she confirms your access with you directly rather than a system doing it. Session 1 is already open to everyone with no sign-up, and every other session has a page here setting out what it covers and what you would keep — so you can see the shape of the whole camp before you send a message.

How do we join, and how do we pay?

There is no checkout on this site and we are not going to fake one. You send one WhatsApp message, Manisha replies with payment details and your access — UPI, card or bank transfer, whichever is easiest where you are. Session 1 is free and needs no login, so you can do a whole session with your child before any money changes hands.

For schools

The same course, taught to teachers.

Schools kept asking for the grown-up half of this camp on its own. So the same spine — the same mental models, in the same order — is delivered to teachers as four 90-minute workshops. The teaching is not rewritten for them: each workshop points at the family sessions that carry it, and adds activities set in a teacher's actual week — planning, differentiation, marking, and the AI-use policy a school has to write in its own words.

E1 is free. Put it in one twilight slot, let the staff room decide whether the hour was worth it, and only then talk about the other three.

How a school buys it

As a cohort, to the school — not per teacher, and not to individual staff. Pricing is worked out per cohort, because it depends on how many teachers are in the room and whether you want E1 on its own first. We will not put a number on this page that we would have to renegotiate in the first message.

Message us and we will talk it through directly. Everything else we do with schools →
